What we know:
Body work is pretty well battered and rusty, Welding is required for MOT (see last photo), Interior though with a good clean is virtually faultless, you wouldn’t believe it’s done 170k more like 30… the electric leather seats are immaculate. --
We have driven the car 6miles upto 30mph, fuel light has just come on, service light is on, car started first time after being sat 48hrs, auto gearbox is smooth. --
Electrics and A/C haven’t been checked --
The customer p/xing the car informed us the oil sump plug was epoxy welded on 4/5 years ago and the sump had an epoxy weld on a crack. so to do a oil change it needs to be done by pumping the oil out rather than draining. I have no idea about this as we’re not mechanics, that is just what the customer p/xing said his mechanic had done. --
Had the car passed its MOT he would still be driving it. --
4x tyres are under a year old so virtually new. --
Scrap man has offered £280, surely a solid engine, auto gearbox and mint leather interior is worth more to the right person. of take what you need and scrap the rest. --
As I said Car does drive seemingly fine with some suspension knocks (sounds like top mounts/ball joints probably) but has no MoT, so trailer away or drive at you risk. --
spares and repairs, no warranty, no returns. once it leaves the forecourt it is yours --
